im new this year to the world of golf and would like to pick myself up a beginner club set, which do you recommend and why.

The blue ones are better looking.
Beginners should start with a Walmart set of clubs.
If you can get good with these, you’ll really appreciate an expensive set once you start shooting in the low 90s and high 80s.
You should spend more of that $300 on lessons, particularly group beginners lessons rather than golf clubs.
