the microchips don’t work like that. they just have a number that a vet or shelter can read and then look up on a database. it cannot locate a lost cat.
That’s not a tracking chip its a shock collar or chip for that matter if you have some kind of receiver, and press button is electrically shocks the cat, Hey I want one of those.

That’s definitely not a chip if you have a receiver. Call the vet and see what they really put in her.
